Knowing & Enjoying God

What's happening with me?  I'm on the final leg of my Spring, 2015, Canadian trip.  Here's how it looks for today and tomorrow.  I would appreciate your prayers for me and for those who come.

Taking On The Problem

God's solution to our problem was to become what our problem was. Our problem wasn't our humanity, it wasn't our environment, our parents, our schooling, which side of the tracks we grew up on, or what we had or didn't have. Our problem was always a spiritual problem: our problem was sin. Jesus became that problem. And not only did He do something amazing about it, He did something amazing to us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Life Happens on the Inside

How Inside Reality Becomes More Attractive Than Outside Chaos

Sometimes my attempts to be more than I am become ugly and revealing . . . in a good way.  What feels awful at first then turns to my good, and I discover life all over again.  See if you don’t, too.  (Click the link below.)

Life Happens

As Paul wrote to the Galatian believers,  “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).  The life I live, I live not by talent, not by effort, not by managing myself and what goes on around me, but the life I live in the body—what I do is—I see to believing Him in me, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

He’s here.  He’s on the inside.  And that’s where life happens.

With You For Life

Have you been looking up concerning your relationship with God, wondering why things go the way they do, when instead you should be looking in? When you think of "Christ in you," that He is actually there, then the look within to Him makes sense in the crazy stuff of your days. He is there to affect you and your day--maybe not to alter it to your liking, but to be with you and for you for life.

Life Is Christ

We will not know the truth and power of Christ in us (Colossians 1:27) if we insist upon navigating this world not by the Spirit but by the flesh and the wisdom of this world. Even if we attempt to navigate by loving everyone, we will have chosen a method and a necessarily defined template that excludes the life and grace of Christ Himself. In the great “love chapters” of 1 Corinthians 13 and 1 John 4, the point is that life and love come from God in us, and work out from there. Life is Christ; anything else is something else.

Don't Be Seduced

Satan’s goal is to seduce you to live in conflict with yourself; to accept an identity drawn from your appearance and behavior, rather than upon where you are—in Christ—and what condition you’re in—a new creation, son of God. Don't be seduced, don’t go for anything less than the security of where God has placed you (in Himself) and what condition He has made you—a spot-on, having all things, holy son or daughter of His. Believing the truth will revive and bring out the real you. And that’s the way to live.

The Goal of Gathering Together

It’s difficult for worship leaders and speakers to not work toward something great happening in believers during musical worship and/or during a message (i.e., getting clean hearts, getting forgiven, getting more of the Spirit, etc.), rather than to work toward something great that’s already happened being revealed.

My Video Channel

Did you know that I have a YouTube Channel with 100 videos? They are there to help you. Someone who cannot read just contacted me and asked if my book was in audio format. It is not, but I offered these. I’m surprised that people don’t know about my videos, so that’s why I’m re-posting about its availability. If you like, tell your friends.

Our Children

Our Christian children are not how they behave—they’re who God says they are. Without excusing poor fleshly behavior, we must not allow it to sell the lie that our kids are how they look. When the surface of our children looks particularly stormy, we must know that under the waves, something is amiss, and we need to go there. If our children’s flesh is on display in all of its ugly glory, we must rescue them! Revive them! Build them up in Christ, remind them of how Christ has made them, and make sure they know He is in them and happy about it at all times. If their behavior is stinky, it’s usually because their thinking is too. You can help them and interrupt the demonic game against them.
