The True Satisfier

When I experience worldly wealth separation syndrome(!), the fleshly lure is to do something about it right now—if even just to brood. This world, then, captures my focus, belief and effort, which means terrible turmoil in the attempt to live by estimates that do not accurately measure me. But the Spirit takes advantage of that ugly lust to get my attention so I will look to Him to satisfy me instead. And He does! In that way, fleshly longings become a doorway to true satisfaction.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. (Gal 5:16-18)
