Tact & Sarcasm

There's so much I could say about this. But isn't there a saying about restraint being the better part of something-or-other?

I've heard "Discretion is the better part of valor." So, I guess Restraint is the better part of a lifetime?

  4. I would rephrase this: “Tact is for people who aren’t sarcastic enough to be witty.” Call me a word-smither, but since sarcasm means, “the tearing of flesh,” I prefer to think of myself as witty: “quick or ready to see or express illuminating or amusing relationships or insights.” See? Better. More refined. Like me.
